Joint School Meetings
Held at the beginning of each academic school year for the incoming executive members of each Z Club and its teacher advisers to get acquainted with each other and Zontians. Students are introduced to the Zonta structure and the biennium’s goals and share what they have accomplished the previous year. The meetings were held in November 2018 and October 2019.
Installation Ceremony
On Saturday, 28 November 2019, the Installation Ceremony was hosted by True Light Girls College. The ceremony formally installs the incoming executive committee and inducts new members for all the six Z Clubs.
After the ceremony, a group aerial photo was taken to commemorate Zonta International’s Centennial and to launch the ‘Zonta Says No to Child Marriage’ campaign.
Due to the Hong Kong’s protests the 2019-2020 Installation Ceremony was cancelled after re-scheduling several times.
LegCo Mock Council Debate
In April 2019, a joint effort with sister clubs to enhance Z Club members’ understanding of how the Legislative Council works and seeks to promote a sense of citizenship among the younger generation. There were eleven participants. The 2020 debate session was cancelled due to Hong Kong’s unsafe political climate.
STEM Video Competition
To support Zonta International’s initiative to encourage students to pursue careers in technology, the Committee launched a Z and Golden Z Club “ Say Yes to STEM Video Competition”. The Z Club of St. Paul’s Convent School and the Golden Z Club of HKUSU were co-winners of the competition.
Young Women in Public Affairs Award
Breanna Ng, Z Club Chairman of Good Hope School (2018-2019) was the District 17 Winner and International Recipient of the Young Women in Public Affairs Award.
