We partner with the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation on “Empower the Journey – Pre- and Post-Treatment Adjustments for Breast Cancer Patients from Diagnosis to Treatment” program in 2025-2026. The program aims to provide comprehensive support to help breast cancer patients to cope with and adapt to their condition from diagnosis through treatment. On October 11, 2025, we co-hosted an Expressive Art Workshop with the Kowloon Centre of HKBCF. Thirteen HKBCF members (women recovering from breast cancer) and their carers joined the workshop. Our Service co-chair Bonnie led a calming breathing exercise and demonstrated Mandala coloring and painting. Our Zontians provided wonderful support throughout. The workshop was uplifting and enjoyable for all the participants. On December 20, 2025, a health talk under the program was successfully held. The speaker, Dr. Wendy Yim, Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner, shared winter wellness principles and nourishing winter soups with the breast cancer patients, survivors and their carers. The content was comprehensive and professional and it was well received by the 80 participants at the talk. Through various workshops and talks under the program, we have created a comprehensive support system that addresses psychological, educational, and social needs effectively.
