Zonta Activity Day and Painting Workshop

Back to list

This year, we have established collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), an international NGO helping families with seriously sick children stay together while going through lengthy treatments. The programs aim to provide stability, support and resources through compassion and “keeping families close”. In November 2024, we joined hands with 10 members of HKU Golden Z Club to visit the newly built second Ronald McDonald House in Kwun Tong. We connected with the sick children and their parents through interactive group games and social chat during tea break. We also made a small donation to their food bank to support them during difficult times. In March 2025, we organized another workshop focusing on Chinese painting using Chinese painting/calligraphy paper 月宮殿紙donated to the centre. It was attended by close to 20 children with their parents. Thanks to our talented co-chair Bonnie who demonstrated doing a joint bamboo painting in black and gold, with our fellow Zontians. The sick children and their family thoroughly enjoyed the painting session, which was heartening and blissful.
