Our Club co-developed the A2A (Awareness to Action) project with the TWGHs Cease Crisis Centre for this biennium. The project supports survivors of violence who are temporarily residing at the Centre by providing activities that help them process trauma, rebuild confidence, and prepare for reintegration into the community. A2A also aims to raise public awareness and promote the prevention of intergenerational violence and intimate partner abuse. The project commenced in November 2024. In collaboration with residing women of the Centre, our Club created a symbolic circle painting highlighting the importance of communication, cooperation, and creative problem-solving in nurturing healthy family relationships. The artwork was displayed at the entrance of TWGHs TungPo, a youth-focused creative and innovation hub in Hong Kong. During the 16 Days of Activism, the “Say No to Violence” message reached hundreds of young people. Over the past biennium, A2A delivered five workshops and one camp, including “mind, body, and soul” sessions and activities designed to strengthen mutual support networks among women affected by domestic violence. These initiatives reached over hundreds of female survivors and their families. As part of the program, our Club also co-organized a one-minute video competition featuring 16 submissions across four themes: strengthening support networks against family violence; enhancing effective family communication; preventing or stopping intergenerational violence; and preventing or stopping intimate partner abuse. The awards ceremony was held on March 8, 2025 (Zonta Rose Day) and featured a survivor’s sharing, which provided a meaningful perspective on resilience and recovery. The videos were published on social media, generating over 3,000 views and approximately a thousand likes. The initiative was also covered by the press and featured on the Zonta International website, extending the reach of the campaign to tens of thousands of readers. Through these channels, the message “Love Yourself” was reinforced, underscoring the importance of personal well-being in building safe and supportive families.
