Zonta International officially started on 8 November 1919. It has become the mother club for more than 3000 Zonta Clubs worldwide.
Zonta Club of Hong Kong, chartered in 1972, is the first Zonta Club in Hong Kong. The Club is considered a pioneer in service and advocacy projects, implementing Zonta vision and mission in Hong Kong. Throughout 48 years of establishment, the Club is the mother and mentor of 6 other clubs established in Hong Kong in later years.
