Z2Z Mentorship Programme 2025 (20 November 2025)
The Z2Z Mentorship Programme, one of the HKU Golden Z Club’s signature initiatives, continued to create meaningful connections between HKU students and members of the Zonta Club of Hong Kong. After a rigorous selection and matching process, mentees were paired with mentors from our Club from diverse professional backgrounds including business, healthcare, law, education, and social services.
Mentees committed to proactively arranging meetings with mentors to ensure sustained engagement. The programme aimed to foster personal development, professional growth, and intergenerational connection—empowering young women to navigate future challenges with confidence.
ICA Carnival 2025 (10 September 2025)
At HKU’s ICA Carnival, the HKU Golden Z Club hosted a booth featuring a recap of past events and posters introducing upcoming initiatives. Interactive games encouraged students to learn about the Club’s mission and values before participating. The booth attracted significant interest, raising awareness of the Club’s work and inspiring many students to explore membership.
Soap Making Workshop with Underprivileged Children (5-6 September 2025)
In collaboration with community partners, the HKU Golden Z Club organized a soap‑making workshop for underprivileged children. Members guided the children through designing and crafting handmade soaps while fostering creativity, confidence, and meaningful connection. The activity brought joy to participants and helped Golden Z members cultivate empathy and a deeper understanding of community service.
Red Cross Humanitarian Centre: Immersive Experimental Theatre: “2030 Climate Act” (27-28 August 2025)
Sponsored by our Club, HKU Golden Z Club members visited the Red Cross Humanitarian Centre to experience the immersive theatre production “2030 Climate Act.” Through interactive storytelling and role‑play, participants explored crisis scenarios related to climate change and resource scarcity. The experience deepened their understanding of climate justice and social inequality, reinforcing the Golden Z Club’s commitment to advocacy and sustainable development.
Registration Day (9-10 August 2025)
Registration Day marked the HKU Golden Z Club’s first major recruitment event of the academic year. Through interactive activities, games, and information sessions, the Executive Committee introduced students to Zonta International’s mission and the HKU Golden Z Club’s signature programmes. The enthusiastic participation of students laid a strong foundation for the year’s initiatives.
Installation Ceremony (11 April 2025)
The 18th Cabinet of the HKU Golden Z Club was formally installed in the presence of representatives from our Club, fellow Golden Z and Z Clubs, and various HKU societies. We thank our member, Ms. Gigi Choa, for serving as Guest of Honour. Both President Shirley Chan (2024-2026) and Ms. Choa delivered inspiring speeches reaffirming Zonta’s mission. The pledging and pinning ceremony marked the official commencement of the new Executive Committee’s term.
